The Future of Indonesian Textiles: Unveiling Innovation at Inatex

Inatex Textile and Garment Exhibition is an annual Expo held in Jakarta, Indonesia. This is one of the largest textile and garment exhibitions in Southeast Asia, featuring a variety of products and services from all over the world. This year, the Inatex exhibition will take place on March 20-23 2024 at the Jakarta International Expo, Kemayoran, Jakarta.

South Pacific Viscose (SPV), which is part of the Lenzing Group, a world-class producer and technology leader in producing special wood-based fibers, is participating again as one of the exhibitors at the Indo Intertex & Inatex 2024 event.

Inatex 2024, as one of the largest trade exhibitions in the textile and garment industry in Southeast Asia, is a means for Lenzing to continue to develop in the future and also to strengthen its commitment in its aim to provide innovation and technology as a solution to create a thriving textile and clothing industry. Sustainable, especially for the growth of local fashion businesses which currently, as we can see, are increasingly developing in Indonesia.

Sustainable fashion or what is known in the fashion industry is placing environmental interests as the main priority. The aim is to build cooperation between all parties involved in the fashion industry, including designers, producers, distributors and consumers (users), to change the way fashion items are sourced, produced and consumed in a better direction and of course safe for the environment and around. Therefore, the Indo Intertex & Inatex 2024 event highlights the sustainability campaign and of course with the presence of Lenzing at this event in 2024 it is hoped that it can play an important role in supporting the concept of a sustainable, environmentally friendly fashion industry, especially in supporting local fashion brands.

At the Inatex 2024 event, Lenzing together with 15 business partners ranging from spinning mills and fabric mills who have the same vision and are committed to contributing to the sustainable fashion industry, took part in displaying and offering various choices ranging from threads and fabrics with superior fiber brands. One of them is PT Embee Plumbon Tekstil, a company engaged in the production of spinning yarn for making raw materials for fabric.

Apart from Embee Plumbon Textiles, several other business partners took part in showcasing the quality of production with Lenzing at the Inatex 2024 event, namely Indo Raya Energi, Excellence Quality Yarn and Tantra Group, which has long been a yarn spinning partner. There are also Indo Pacific, Gamatex, Lucky Print Abadi, and Mulia Lestari as fabric factory partners as well as Tokoencit and Paramatex, who act as fabric shop partners who also collaborate with Lenzing in the Direct Business Interaction session.

In the future, Lenzing strives to focus and commit to creating and developing innovative fiber products for fabrics that can support the sustainable fashion industry and are able to meet the needs of industry partners and fashion lovers in Indonesia. Also, we will expand collaboration with various local business partners in Indonesia who of course have the same vision to support the development of the sustainable fashion industry.

Therefore, Paramatex as a fabric supplier based in Bali, which has contributed for 10 years to the textile industry to provide various kinds of fabrics that are environmentally friendly and have international standards, is committed to continuing to strive to uphold the main principles in the future fashion industry. In this event, Paramatex also took part in opening a booth to introduce and expand public knowledge about this sustainable textile material. What’s more, visitors can also directly discuss during the event so they can find out what is needed easily and precisely.
